• Milling

Our multi axis portable milling machines have been designed specifically for milling pump and motor bedplates, heat exchanger division plates, including external and internal keyways in shafts and bores, hatch covers, as well as for square flanges.

• Journal Turning

Avoid tedious and time-consuming equipment strip downs by isolating the area of the plant you need to re-machine. Mactech's pneumatically-driven portable machines can repair worn or damaged journals of various diameters quickly and efficiently. Mactech have designed journal lathes for both crankshaft and stub shaft applications.

• Drilling, Trepanning and Reaming

Mactech can accommodate working sizes in excess of 6” (150mm) in diameter and 40” (1000mm) in depth. Our abilities extend to drilling operations on major structures, any type of straight or tapered reaming, drilling and tapping on steel rolling mills, stud removal, trepanning of holes in blast furnaces, pressure vessels and pipework.

• Pipe Cutting

Mactech has the capability to cut pipes of any diameter and wall thickness thanks to our wide range of purpose-built OD mounted clamshell pipe cutting equipment and our internally mounted end prep machines. Our service technicians are well versed in applications such as excavating and removing defective weld material. And if required, Mactech can also profile and prepare the remaining pipe or vessel ends for welding.

• Line Boring

Mactech purpose built 'Bucket Bar' line boring equipment can decrease plant maintenance downtime by using our on-site boring service for applications requiring the machining of two or more in-line bores. Applications such as excavator bucket support pin bores, pad eyes, camshaft/crankshaft bearing bores, turbine seal rings and various types of valve seat machining are all quickly machined in situ.

• Flange Facing

Mactech Europe flange facing machines can internally or externally mount to machine ring joints, spiral wound gasket faces and many other types of flange facing applications in situ and in hazardous environments.
