It is a well-known fact, that coloration of the inside of alloy steel pipes or fittings can be avoided by the use of Purge Gas Equipment. In many cases Quality Control accepts no coloration, reflected in a demand of a certain maximum content of oxygen inside the pipes or fittings during welding. It is an equally known fact that there is a direct correlation between oxygen content and coloration.

The sturdy and handy oxygen analyser WT PBI-Danensor is a valuable instrument when corrosion-safe welding of stainless steel, duplex or titanium is required. The oxygen concentration is assessed with an accuracy of 0,0001% (1ppm) for Argon as well as for Formier gas.

Purge Monitor GM1 is a small hand-held instrument which facilitate welding of stainless steel by oxygen concentration monitoring down to 0.01% (100 ppm).

As the first company in the world, Weld-Tech has developed an instrument - PCG - to control the purge gas pressure inside stainless steel, (super-) duplex / high alloy steel pipes during welding operations. The development has been carried out in co-operation with the Danish Welding Institute.
