MT636 End Prep Lathe

The all new Mactech Europe MT636 end prep lathe can machine pipe ends to virtually any prep angle by utilising either form tools or single point machining and diameter range 6"(150mm) ID to 36"(915mm) O.D. Max wall thicknesses for form tool machining are 2"(50mm) and for single point facing up to 5"(125mm).

The MT636 can be located in the pipe bore and rigidly clamped in seconds. The 'Mactech Clamp Cage' is easily adjusted and locked into position and can be adjusted to allow for the pipe 'high/lows'. There are two clamp cages available one frrom 6"(150mm) I.D. to 16"(406mm)I.D. and the other from 14"(355mm)I.D. to 34.75"(882mm)I.D. 

The MT636 can be pneumatically driven by two 3H.p in line geared motors or hydraulically with either one or two motors dependant on diameter and wall thickness.

Material removal rates are massive when compared with other machines available, with the simple ratchet feed system, weld prep's can be formed in literally minutes without causing undue operator fatigue and providing an accurate 'chatter' free finish.

Out of round/ID tracking tool slides are available as well as single point slides as standard for those more complex of facing and bevelling operations.
